The label brings people together, promotes experimental music in Russia, and helps musicians find their listeners. Cantroll does not publish music on physical media, does not do mastering and mixing. The label helps to make an advertising campaign for the album on the Internet. And is the most authoritative music label in Russia in its genres.
The label organizes various contests for authors, collaborations with Jamendo, VK Clips, Groover and other platforms, annual qualifying rounds for international compilations Downtown and Take a Trip. Various thematic entertainment and educational rubrics are published for listeners. There is a 24-hour web-radio.
Resident tracks are played by YouTube-bloggers in conversational and entertaining videos, as well as in commercials for brands: Renault, Doogee, football club Nice, Discovery TV channel, UMMC, Azimut airline, GQ Germany. The main novelties regularly get into rotation on radio stations, curated playlists of VK Music, Yandex Music and other platforms.
Earlier, label head Mark Shishlev organized his own events in different Russian cities: both with the participation of label residents and with reputable European bands. Among the projects we can mention international trip-hop music festivals "Metagalaxy", which united more than 30 bands from different cities and countries (including - Iuno, Micatone, 9Lazy9, Hidden Orchestra, Arts The Beatdoctor, Skiggy Rapz, The Herbaliser, Sofa Surfers, Bugge Wesseltoft, Doctor Flake, Glen Porter, Elsiane, Flunk).
